We’re careful about using the term vegan leather as it can be a bit misleading. Veganism is a commitment to not use any animal-derived material or ingredient, so it makes sense that the term vegan leather is only used by brands who have made the commitment to being 100 per cent vegan.”
Vegan leather is a material that mimics leather, but is created from artificial or plant products instead of animal skins.
Vegan leather has come on leaps and bounds over the past few decades, meaning that well-made vegan-leather products can often be mistaken for the real thing—
“The vegan leather made by us is buttery soft and sometimes people mistake it for real leather, so it’s definitely not compromising on quality.”
ADVANTAGES OF VEGAN LEATHER
Economical – Vegan leather is much more pocket friendly than real leather.
Realistic Quality – Vegan leather can be modified and improved with variations in grain, colour and textures to reflect a visual appearance with a realistic leather quality.
Consistent Appearance – Vegan leather will provide a uniform look since all the pieces come from the same stock.
Fashion – Vegan leathers can also be printed on, providing enormous variety of textures and patterns. In addition, being a synthetic material, it can also be dyed in a rainbow of colours. This fashion forward approach allows for more freedom when decorating residential or commercial interiors.
Easy to Work with – Vegan leather is easier to cut and sew than real leather. In addition, needle marks are usually less noticeable and threads blend with the vegan leather material more seamlessly. It is often a lot thinner than real leather and much more light weight.
It is already waterproof – As vegan leather is made with a plastic coating, it is already waterproof. This makes it easier to clean by just using a mild detergent or just by wiping it with a damp cloth.
Conditioning products can’t penetrate it to stop it from drying up and cracking, which can happen if the fake leather is in the sun a lot and also if it’s a particularly poor quality material.
